Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we handle personal information and project materials when you use https://uplivoo.com, email us, apply for a role, or engage us to test a mobile app. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not send us personal data or app builds.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and deliver testing or hiring work:
- Contact and company details such as name, work email, phone, company or product name, and the content of your messages.
- Hiring messages you send on Snapchat, such as name, location, and how many devices you have.
- Project materials you choose to send such as TestFlight or Firebase links, APK or IPA files, test accounts, device notes, and defect context. Treat these as confidential client materials, not public website content.
- Technical data that your browser may send automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, in server logs used for security and reliability.
We do not require you to create an account to read this website. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
3. How we use information
- To reply to enquiries and propose a test plan, timeline, or statement of work.
- To perform testing you have asked for, including device lab work, reporting, and re-tests.
- To review hiring messages and communicate with candidates.
- To protect the site, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting duties.
- To improve how we describe our services, using aggregated or non-identifying notes only.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use unreleased app builds for marketing, training public models, or any purpose other than your project unless you agree in writing.
4. How US privacy law applies
We process personal information to run this website, respond to you, perform testing you request, review hiring messages, and protect the lab. If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are a New York resident, we take reasonable safeguards consistent with the SHIELD Act. You may withdraw consent for future processing by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect work already completed or records we must keep by law.
5. Sharing
We share information only when needed:
- With testers, leads, and contractors bound by confidentiality, solely to deliver your work or review an application.
- With infrastructure providers (email, hosting, device cloud) that process data on our instructions.
- With professional advisers (legal, accounting) under duty of confidence.
- When required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or the security of the lab.
Client app materials are not shared with other customers.
6. Unreleased apps and test accounts
Builds, credentials, and analytics access you provide remain yours. We use them only to test and report. Please use dedicated test accounts, not production admin access, and tell us if a build contains real user data so we can agree extra controls. We may refuse material that appears unlawful, invasive of third-party privacy, or unsafe to install.
7. Retention
- Website enquiries: up to 24 months after the last useful contact, then deleted or anonymized unless a contract or dispute requires longer.
- Job applications: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete sooner or we hire you (employment records then follow HR policy).
- Client test files and reports: for the engagement and a reasonable archive period set in the statement of work, typically not more than 24 months after close, unless you ask us to return or destroy them earlier.
- Server logs: as short as practical for security, usually under 90 days.
8. Security
We use access controls, least-privilege sharing inside the lab, and encrypted transport (HTTPS) on this site. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please send builds through the channel we agree in writing, not via public links that anyone can guess.
9. Cookies and similar technology
This site does not set advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. We do not use a job application form on this website.
10. International access
Our lab is based in Brooklyn, New York. Testers or infrastructure may operate in other US states or countries when a project needs overlap hours or device coverage. If data is processed outside the United States, we take steps appropriate to the transfer and the nature of the materials.
11. Your rights
Subject to law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and information about how we use it. California residents may use the same email to submit a CCPA request. You may also contact your state attorney general. To exercise rights, email [email protected] from the address we have on file, and allow a reasonable time for identity checks and a reply. We may refuse requests that are unlawful, excessive, or would reveal another person’s data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you have read the new version.
